Coroner IDs woman found in Westmoreland County pond

Westmoreland County, PA — Authorities in Westmoreland County have identified the woman whose body was found in a local pond earlier this month.

The county coroner's office says 34-year-old Kele Diane Townsend was found on the afternoon of Nov. 6th, in the area of Broadview Road in New Stanton.

Investigators say they used medical and dental records, tattoos and jewelry in order to identify her.

Officials say Townsend's cause and manner of death have not yet been determined.

State police and the Westmoreland County coroner's office say the investigation is still ongoing.
