Coroner IDs body found at Clearfield Co. park

Clearfield Co., PA (WJAC) — Clearfield County Coroner Kim Shaffer-Snyder has released the identity of the individual whose body was found at a local park earlier this week.
The coroner's office says the body of 40-year-old Edward Schmidt was found Tuesday afternoon at Woodland Park.
An autopsy is being conducted Thursday but authorities believe that Schmidt died as a result of a drug overdose.
Shaffer-Snyder says Schmidt's official cause of death is pending the results of the autopsy and a toxicology report.

Clearfield County Coroner Kim Shaffer-Snyder confirmed that a body was found at a local park Tuesday afternoon.
Authorities say the body of a 41-year-old man was discovered at Woodland Park around 2:45 p.m.
Shaffer-Snyder says an autopsy is scheduled for Thursday.
According to Clearfield County District Attorney Ryan Sayers, the man's death is believed to be a suspected overdose.
