Trade Secrets porch pantry ready to help those affected by COVID-19 pandemic

ALTOONA, Pa. (WJAC) — The Trade Secrets porch pantry in Altoona wants to let people know they're welcome to come in and take the food they need.
The pantry is located on the front porch of their production facility along 13th Avenue.
Organizers say the pantry began offering food about a month ago in response to the coronavirus pandemic. They're asking people to be mindful of others and only take what they need.
“We’re all going through a lot of emotions right now," says Trade Secrets co-owner and pantry organizer Stephanie Hite. "A lot of people are out of work, not sure when their next paycheck is coming in or any type of assistance. And there’s just kind of that safety net where people can just come, take what they need and not feel any sort of way about it.”
Trade Secrets says anyone is welcome to donate to the pantry to help keep it running. Items are available 24 hours a day.
